Jiaxing Yang is a 3D generalist and digital artist, best known for co-directing the award-winning animated short film Forever (2025), which has been recognized at international film festivals. He specializes in 3D animation, lighting, and compositing, with experience spanning the full 3D animation and motion media production pipeline. He holds an M.F.A. in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and a B.S. in Animation from Purdue University.

From an early age, Jiaxing developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling, exploring drawing, composition, and cinematic language. That early passion evolved into a professional focus on character-driven animation and visually expressive lighting design.

As a 3D animator, he is drawn to performance-driven storytelling—where gesture, timing, and physical nuance work together to convey intention and emotion. He approaches animation not merely as motion, but as performance grounded in believable physics and character psychology.

As a lighting artist, Jiaxing is fascinated by the narrative power of light. Light defines spatial relationships, directs attention, and shapes emotional tone. Whether crafting dramatic contrast or subtle atmospheric depth, he treats lighting as a cinematic tool—balancing realism with visual intention to enhance storytelling impact.
