Introduction
Forever is an award-winning 3D animated short film directed by Jiaxing Yang and Xiaoxi Zhang. Produced in Spring 2025 and released in Fall 2025, it has received notable recognition on the international festival circuit through multiple selections and awards.
The film also serves as Jiaxing Yang’s MFA thesis project at the Savannah College of Art and Design, created as part of the requirements for the Master of Fine Arts in Animation.
Film Synopsis
A young adult returns home to organize his late father’s belongings and inadvertently finds his childhood VR goggles, which unlock memories of the past. His father died unexpectedly when he was a child, leaving him without closure. Through the VR goggles, he discovers that he may have a second chance to say goodbye.
